What even is a priestess?

A priestess is a representative and a devotee of the Goddess—the divine Creatrix of all that is, was, and ever will be. The priestess is a divine feminine leader who guides people to connect to their own Soul, power, and divinity. A priestess leads with her heart and intuition through the divine feminine principles of love, beauty, serenity, compassion, purity, creativity, and kindness. The priestess uses ritual to invite the sacred into the physicality of life.

This divine feminine role is embodied in many forms. She may even inhabit a male body, as the Goddess is reemerging to heal the broken masculine principle and to reinstate the sovereign power of the feminine principle. S(he) could be a wise wo(man) divining within temple walls, the head witch of a coven, or a parent who loves and guides his/her children through the gentle knowing of the heart. Below are the main archetypes of a priestess. Like all archetypes, the priestess is ever-evolving and more iterations of her power will be born as we explore the outer reaches of possibility. See if any of these archetypes stirs knowing within you...
